American Bald Eagle and Red Foxes

Red foxes feed on rodents, rabbits, birds, and other small animals. They do not form packs, unlike wolves. The red fox helps the biome by eliminating the animals they eat so the population is not too big. They also break up seeds by eating fruit.

The American Bald Eagle or "the sea eagle with a white head" in Latin is the national symbol of the United States. This bird usually lives up to 50 years in captivity and up to 25 years in the wild. The female bird is usually larger than the male. The American Bald Eagle helps the environment by eating small animals and different types of fish. Although the American Bald Eagle is not endangered, laws have been passed to protect the bird from poachers.

Why is the American Bald Eagle the nation symbol of the United States?
